Blogger app on test

[Author's note: this blog entry is part of the review of blogging tools for Nexus 7. I'll update this note once the review's finished]
And to be fair, this is a test post from Blogger. Formatting works very well.
A picture goes here...
Or who knows where :-)
Okay, ready to go.

Blogaway on test

Okay, this is non-lite (heavy?) Version of Blogaway. The beginning of a sentence capitalization works this time. Now some formatting. And italic in red. Is it red? We'll see.
Adding a picture... and we're ready to go.

Trying Blogaway Lite beta again

Since it crashed the first time, although claiming the post was published.

A picture is added above this line, but I'm not sure where it will appear.

Alright, posting. Hope it will be published this time.

Now Trying BlogIt, It Capitalizes The Title! Nice :-)

This is the first post from BlogIt. It is very easy to set it up. This is bold. Hmmm... HTML? Okay. Now, link to Google. And an image:
Well, not too bad if you're not allergic to raw HTML code. I could probably live with that.

All right, lets see what Bloggeroid can do...

This is my *very first* post using Bloggeroid. Do we see the link? I couldn't tell right now, will check when published.

Adding imagein the middle of the text:

Hmmm... Hard-boiled bloggers from vi-emacs flamewars will probably enjoy Bloggeroid :-)

Now, to publish and enjoy!

Simple entry using Blogger-droid

This post is a showcase of Blogger-droid. It seems that it doesn't work too well on Nexus 7. I'm not able to select text in order to insert link.
Also, I'm not sure how pictures are ordered.
Anyway, publish (bold!) AHHH...
Bug! Everything turned bold when I tried to insert italic text.
Hmmm... it's okay now, obviously it works but not too consistently.

And now, something REALLY GOOD: AirDroid

Every now and then I stumble uppon a piece of software which amazes me by its overall quality. +AirDroid is such a software. I'm not quite sure how I lived without it before. Really, it is so good.

But let me start with the application description. Check their website. It is an application for wireless management of your Android device available for free in Google Play. Yes, it is important to accentuate the fact that the whole setup (application and the accompanying website) is free. Unbelievable for such a polished app.

Okay, so what I can do with it, you're probably asking me. Well, many things. But first, you need to start the app on your device. First time you start the application, you can go through five screens which briefly explain what you can do with it.

Good post on first experiences with Nexus 7

Starting with Nexus 7 myself, I've found this blogpost about first experiences with N7 by another beginner. Good read!

Rooting your Nexus 7

Well, of course you'd want to root your +Google Nexus 7. I've rooted mine the very next day after I bought it, primarily to be able to create backups. As everybody, and his dog, knows, backups are essential but way too often forgotten habit, and what a good one! Make your backups!

Anyway, Nexus 7, actually +Android itself offers some backup features (to be covered in one of the future posts), but my tool of choice is +Titanium Track 's Titanium Backup (PRO, to be exact). It requires root access, though, so you'll have to root your device.

And how to do that? Use Google Nexus 7 Toolkit. It is a simple tool that does everything for you, just follow the instructions.

Zombies, Run! 5k Training for just one dollar!

Not that you will bring your +Google Nexus 7 with you on your runs, but if you have an Android phone (and you problaby do), this is a really good opportunity: Zombies, Run! 5k Training for under one dollar! This is a limited time offer, so better hurry up!

Taking screenshots on Nexus 7

Every now and then a man wants to take a schreenshot of his phone or tablet, even a desktop. For some reason in the early days of screenshot-taking history, that used to require a specific software, and in the case of Android even a rooted device. But not anymore!
Long have gone the days of the screenshot-taking troubles, assuming you're using a newer OS, which as a Nexus 7 user, you are.
Simply press and hold at the same time Volume Down and Power button. You'll hear a sound and the screenshot will be taken.
Here it is, my first official screenshot on Nexus 7.
